Our Inspiration

The mission of Lily J Designs is to make women feel more beautiful through the jewelry they wear. The wonderful thing about jewelry is that as little as one individual piece can transform the way you look and feel. Jewelry also enables us to express ourselves with endless possibilities!

Craftmanship

Lily J Designs understands how frustrating it is to buy a beautiful piece of jewelry, only to have it fall apart days later. Exceptional craftsmanship sets Lily J Designs apart. Our jewelry is handcrafted with high quality silver and copper wire and hardware – so flaking or peeling is not a concern. We strive to offer our customers unique creations that are not only beautiful, but also quality-made.  Those with sensitive skin aren’t limited to certain designs. Our selection of metals allows you to find exactly the style are looking for.

Jewelry Care

To best maintain the gemstone jewelry in your collection, you should routinely clean your pieces. The best way to accomplish this is by using a specialty polishing cloth (available in our store) to avoid scratches on the surface of the stone. If your gemstones come in contact with dirt or other substances, gently clean by using warm water and dry with a soft absorbent cloth. Never use ammonia or other harsh chemicals that may damage the natural color and finish of the stone. We do not recommend using soaps or polishing dips to clean your gemstones, since porous stone may absorb the solution, thus affecting its natural color and texture.

Gemstones are sensitive to chemicals found in cosmetics, hairspray, and perfume. Therefore, a good rule of thumb is to always put your jewelry on last when dressing. Remove jewelry before showering or swimming since exposure to salt water and chlorine may erode the finish of the stone. Over time, perspiration can also cause gemstones to become dull. The way to avoid this is by simply wiping the stones with a soft cloth after wearing and before storage.

The most important factor in caring for your jewelry is developing good habits. When cared for properly, your gemstones can become a meaningful heirloom to pass down to the next generation. Treat your gemstones well and they will return the favor by looking gorgeous year after year.
